U-shaped silicon molybdenum rod for lifting furnace

Silicon molybdenum rod electric heating elements are widely used in metallurgy, steelmaking, glass, ceramics, refractory materials, crystals, electronic components, semiconductor materials research, production, and manufacturing, especially for the production of high-performance precision ceramics, precision structural cermets, glass fibers, optical fibers, and alloy steels.

Silicon molybdenum rod electric heating elements are high-temperature resistant, oxidation-resistant resistive heating elements made primarily from molybdenum disilicide. When used in high-temperature oxidizing atmospheres, a bright and dense quartz (SiO2) glass film forms on the surface, protecting the inner layers of the silicon molybdenum rod from further oxidation, giving the element unique high-temperature oxidation resistance.

In an oxidizing atmosphere, with a usage temperature of up to 1700°C, the resistance of silicon molybdenum rod heating elements increases rapidly as the temperature rises, stabilizing when the temperature remains constant. Under normal conditions, the resistance of the element does not change over time, allowing new and old silicon molybdenum rod heating elements to be used together.

Correctly selecting the surface load of the heating element based on the structure of the heating equipment, the working atmosphere, and the temperature is crucial for the service life of silicon molybdenum rod heating elements.
